Hedgerows

Hedgerows are full of wild flowers and plants and are often the 'edges' of fields and open spaces.

​This piece was created for the 2016 Contemporary Quilt Challenge "On the Edge". 
Inspired by the art of Angie Lewin.
​
​Whole cloth background of recycled linen. Painting.
Commercial and hand-dyed cotton fabric and sheer fabric applique. 
Machine and free machine quilted.
Edge is rattail cord with machine embroidery stitch.
